What we offer

Counselling offers an opportunity to talk with a trained professional in a confidential, non-judgemental and supportive way. People come for counselling for a wide range of reasons.

This is not an exhaustive list but some of the issues we may be able to help you with:

  • Stress, anxiety and worry

  • Depression

  • Bereavement, grief and loss

  • Relationship problems

  • Marriage/family difficulties

  • Abuse

  • Low self esteem

  • Personal development

  • Spiritual issues

  • Guilt and shame

  • Anger

Counselling is funded from donations and contributions, which enable Life House Community Counselling Service to continue to be open to all, regardless of their ability to pay. All we ask is that people make a contribution towards the cost of their session as they are able - after discussion with the counsellor.

A guideline would be:

  • Income under £10,000 – between £5 - £10

  • Income range £10,000 - £20,000 – between £10 - £20

  • Income range £20,000 - £30, 000 – between £20 - £30

  • Income range £30,000 - £40,000 – Between £30 - £40

  • Income above £50,000 – £50 - £75

We will not refuse anyone counselling for lack of income.
